jProbe is a viewer for Spice simulation output files ("rawfiles"), written in java. Its main characteristics are:
- It is open source, source code tar balls are available here.
- It is modeled after the PSpice "Probe" software.
- It works with the output formats from ngspice.
- It can so far only display the data files - it has no mathematical post-processing. And it only knows XY (cartesian) coordinates.
There is still no documentation - but jProbe should be rather self-instructing. And it does not have so many knobs and buttons yet.
The jProbe software is shipped as a tarball for Linux/Unix or a zip file for Windows. They contain the jProbe.jar executable and startup scripts. The difference between the two is - except the package format - only the startup script.
